We sought at least 314 individuals, groups, businesses, or interested parties, to invest $1000 or more in 2020 for the 21-22 season, and pledge to donate another $1000 for the following 22-23 season. We are so grateful for this collection of distinguished philanthropists. A group of highly motivated ski racing backers, they not only saved NCAA skiing at UAA, but saved NCAA skiing across the country. We demonstrated to college administrators across the country that an Olympic sport like Skiing has a place in collegiate athletics

Yes.  Friends of UAA Skiing is now a 501(c)3 entity.   Friends of UAA Skiing is sponsored by the UA Foundation, and follows all the IRS guidelines pertaining to donations received through the UA Foundation.  You can now donate on-line directly to the UA Foundation which is a non profit 501(c)3, you may visit https://engage.alaska.edu/uaa/athletics – and be sure to specify the “Excellence In Skiing” choice in the drop down menu. Also, in “comments” please indicate that this gift is for the 314er campaign.
